William Blakely (d. Spring 1957) was a Minor League catcher for the Davenport Cornhuskers.
He was the son of wealthy farmers in Iowa, and a boyhood teammate of farmhand Eugene Katsanis. As the two progressed through youth baseball, high school baseball, and college baseball, Katsanis eventually began to outpace Blakely, whose parents used their local influence to get Katsanis barred from playing with the Cornhuskers.
In the Spring of 1957, Blakely and his parents were murdered by Katsanis, who assumed William's identity in order to play for the New Jersey Titans.
