Wentworth is the father of Richie Tozier and husband of Maggie Tozier in Stephen King's IT. He is rather intelligent and works as a dentist. He would happily indulge Richie's interest in 'Voices', going so far as to using some of his sons phrases himself. His son would often engage in playful bartering to make an extra allowance, usually resulting in a few more chores added to Richie’s list. While Wentworth regarded his son as silly, it is made clear that he loves and cares about his son. He dies in 1973, from cancer of the larynx.

“He was a pleasant-looking man with a rather thin face. He wore steel-rimmed spectacles, was developing a bald spot at the back of his head”

  • Wentworth is largely described only in Chapter 8, section 6, when Richie is asking him for chores and allowance to go to the movies.
