The Ultras, also known as The Mortimer Snerds and Chris' Clique, is the name given to a gang of popular girls at Thomas Ewen Consolidated High School led by Chris Hargensen. The group is known for harassing "outcast" students like Carrie White, they are a major antagonist group in the novel Carrie, as well their film adaptations.
They all lived in Chamberlain, Maine, most of their members died at the Black Prom. That name was given to them by Norma Watson in the 2002 movie Carrie.

Notes[]
- Erroneously, the group was thought to be called the "Mortimer Snerds" because in the novel, Principal Morton said "Chris and their Mortimer Snerds". However, later in the novel the principal says that Chris's clique call unpopular students "Mortimer Snerds" because Chris and her friends find it funny.
- In the 2002 adaptation of Carrie, Norma Watson's character calls Chris and her friends the "Ultras" because they are "ultra-popular, ultra-pretty, ultra-etc." Therefore, it is the only official nickname by which the group is known besides "Mortimer Snerds".
- In the novel Norma Watson, Ruth Gogan, Rhonda Simard, Vicky Hanscom, Myra Crewes, Jessica MacLean, Jeanne Gault, Maureen Cowan, Stella Horan, Sally McManus, Holly Marshall, Sandra Stenchfield, Frieda Jason, Cindi and Fern are all speculated as being members, but it is unknown.
- While Chris Hargensen is the only Ultra member to be killed by Carrie White, Tina Blake barely survived The Black Prom and the other members' fates became unknown.
- Chris is also the one who orchestrated the prank, while Tina and, maybe also Norma, ensured that Carrie and Tommy Ross would win Prom King and Queen. However, it is unknown if Tina replaced the ballots with fake ones or if they all threw their votes to them.
