Grant Hermanns of Screen Rant gave the series an 8/10, calling it "enthralling" and stating that show's worldbuilding offers exciting twists that set it apart from similar shows.[1] Maggie Boccella of Collider, however, was not favorably impressed by the series, giving it only 4/10. She stated that the show's adult actors drag it down and that it lacks the tension that Stephen King stories are normally known for.[2]
