"The Glass Floor" is a short story originally published in Startling Mystery Stories in 1967. The story was King's first professional sale, earning him a $35 paycheck. It was reprinted in "Weird Tales" issue 298 and "The Glass Floor" later republished in issue #68 of Cemetery Dance, released in December of 2012.
A room with a glass floor appears in King's 2002 teleplay Rose Red.
