The Dark Tower film series adaptation of the Dark Tower series. The series is currently projected to be a trilogy of films separated by an accompanying television series.
According to a press release on 8 September 2010, Ron Howard will direct the first film in the trilogy, after which the television series will begin (possibly covering the events of The Drawing of the Three and The Waste Lands). The first season of the television series will also be directed by Howard.
Following the first season of the show, a second film will be released, after which the television series will resume (possibly covering the events of Wolves of the Calla and Song of Susannah), bridging the gap between the second and third film.
After the completion of the film trilogy, the television series will resume, carrying on the adventures of Roland Deschain, though in what capacity is currently unknown.
