he takes his life as a specific choice, so suicide notes past "IT" being writen on the wall makes sense to me.
he takes his life as a specific choice, so suicide notes past "IT" being writen on the wall makes sense to me. I think he was effected the most not just by pennywise, but the turtle as well, and an important part is that its not just the straight fear that gets him, but his rigidness, even as a child. Its why its him and not eddie, eddie could bend the rules in his head unlike stan. In the book, i think this is refreshing bc so much is straight fear (for obvious reasons), in the movie, the rest of the fear aspects where too underplayed in my opinion for that to pay off.

I mean, people write suicide notes all the time. So taking the time to write important notes out, now that hes actually remembered all these people kinda makes sense. And u point out urself, writing the letters before the call makes little sense, so why would a secret message be any better? and none of the losers would be able to look through his stuff as easily as his wife might just find the letters and mail them.

Its been awhile since I read the book, but I never took stans death as 100% oh im scared shittless time to make quick actions, especially given this line bill has when the losers are talking about his death:

“He said he could stand to be scared, but he hated being dirty. That seemed to me the essence of Stan. Maybe it was just too much, when Mike called. He saw his choices as being only two: stay alive and get dirty or die clean.”

he takes his life as a specific choice, so suicide notes past "IT" being writen on the wall makes sense to me.
