Sophia Lillis is an actress known for her role as Beverly Marsh in IT: Chapter One and IT: Chapter Two (film)and for her starring role as a teenager with telekinetic abilities in the Netflix drama series I Am Not Okay with This (2020). Lillis has also appeared in the HBO psychological thriller miniseries Sharp Objects (2018) and played the titular detective in the film Nancy Drew and the Hidden Staircase (2019).Sophia Lillis was born in Crown Heights, Brooklyn (New York City, New York). She started her acting career at the age of seven, when her stepfather encouraged her to take acting classes at Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in Manhattan. Eventually she signed with an agent which led (eventually) to the role of Beverly Marsh in IT: Chapter One and IT: Chapter Two (film).
