Royce "Roy" Evarts was a student at Ewen High School in Chamberlain, Maine, and the boyfriend of Helen Shyres. Roy was only seen in the 2002 version of Carrie and was played by Steve Byers, but didn't make an appearance in the others. At the prom he seemed to be Tommy Ross' friend. During the prom massacre, he was seen getting electrocuted with Helen and screaming in pain.
