Robert Hepler Lowe (born March 17, 1964) is an American actor. He came to prominence in the 1980s, playing teen and young adult roles in films such as The Outsiders (1983), Oxford Blues (1984), St. Elmo's Fire (1985), and About Last Night... (1986). However, he continued acting in less prominent film roles, and went on to high-profile roles in television series such as The West Wing (1999–2003), Brothers & Sisters (2006–2010), and Parks and Recreation (2010–2014). He played Nick Andros in the 1994 miniseries adaptation of The Stand . Ten years later he would play Ben Mears in the 2004 remake of Salem's Lot .
