Rhonda Simard was a student of Ewen High School. She was among those who tormented and laughed at Carrie White. Rhonda had a mother, whose name was Cora Simard and she was nearly killed by Carrie, too, during her rampage after destroying the prom and downtown Chamberlain.
During the Black Prom Rhonda was electrocuted on stage by power cables broken by Carrie. She was burned alive in front of other students, who survived and had to witness it. It deeply affected one of the survivors named Vic Mooney, and caused him to have a severe mental breakdown and committed to an asylum.
