Ralph McCausland was the husband of Ruth Merrill, the son-in-law of Holly and John Merrill and the brother-in-law of Lucas Merrill. He was also the great-nephew-in-law of Reginald Merrill.
He worked as a state trooper with the Main State Police until he died of a brain tumor.
