Polly Turner is the daughter of Melissa and Rich Turner, and the owner of the talismanic doll Chinga.
Chinga
Polly was given Chinga from her father, who had found it while lobster fishing off the coast of Maine. However, the doll had a connection with witchcraft and was used by Polly to enforce her will upon anyone. With the powerful doll at her side, Polly terrorized her mother after killing her father and numerous other people. Turner tried to burn her own house down, killing herself and her daughter in order to destroy the doll, but was thwarted when Chinga had her hit herself repeatedly with a hammer. Dana Scully destroyed the doll in a microwave and apparently released Polly from its influence.
