Mrs. Davies is a former Maine librarian and a minor character in the horror novel, It. Throughout the late nineteen fifties, she worked for Barbara Starrett (head owner of the children’s library section) at the Derry Public Library. Davies would often spend the majority of her occupied time reading children-based literatures (particularly the infamous “The Three Billy Goats Gruff”) to the younger students.

She likely retired from her librarian career not long after Starrett’s passing away in 1982.
