John Rimbauer was the husband of Ellen Rimbauer in the TV miniseries Rose Red. John lived at the turn of the century man-eating mansion known as Rose Red (house).
John was a very wealthy owner of a oil company in the early 1900's but was also a cheater who was unfaithful to Ellen: John had his way with many of the female maids and servants who worked at the estate. As revenge, John was murdered by Ellen and her maid and lover, Sukeena, by being pushed out a window only a few years after his six year old handicapped daughter, April was consumed by the house over its jealousy. Ellen and Sukeena then made John's death look like a suicide instead of a homicide. It was unknown if John's soul stayed trapped at Rose Red like many other of the victims or he crossed over.
