Henrietta Dumont is a former teacher from Maine and a minor character in the horror novel, It. She taught at the Derry Elementary School for nearly thirteen years until her eventual retirement in 1958.
Throughout the duration of her career, Dumont had been exposed to dozens of cases where several of her students were ill-fated victims of severe child abuse (including most notably the deceased Edward Corcoran). In accordance with the rest of the staff members at Derry Elementary, she often tended to remain dismissive and oblivious to such matters.
