Georgette Shyres is a minor character in Carrie. She is the mother of Helen Shyres and a residents of Chamberlain, Maine.
Georgette knocked on the door of Cora Simard's house and shouted "Cora, are you in there? are you in there?". While she was wearing a bathrobe and a pair of slippers. She, along with Cora, went downtown to find out what was happening. When Georgette and Cora walked down Main Street, holding hands, They saw Carrie White leaving the church. While Cora was thinking about how to get out alive from the rampage, Georgette released her hand and started to run down the sidewalk. Cora shouted her to stop, but it was too late.
Georgette accidentally stepped onto one of the electricity cables and died by being electrocuted and burned alive.
