George Dawson is a student at Ewen High School, who was in the prom with Frieda Jason. He and Frieda got along with Carrie White while interacting with Tommy Ross. But ultimately, he and Frieda ended up joining with the whole class in laughing at Carrie. He was last seen being smashed up to the window when students tried to open the doors, later it was confirmed to have died in the school disaster.

His name is first introduced when Chris reads secretly the King and Queen ballot for all the candidates for the Prom next to Frieda Jason. He was standing by the coke machine with Frieda when Tommy Ross and Carrie White arrived to the prom. He turn to look at them and spoke to Tommy Ross while making a sudden movement forward which scared Carrie. Carrie was about to pick him up and throw him across the lobby with her power, but she realized that it was an old game.

He is a student at Ewen High School in Chamberlain, Maine. He is Tommy's best friend and has a girlfriend named Erika Gogan. He is seen to be not very pleased with the prank.
George and Erika seem to like Carrie a lot as George calls her "beautiful" and Erika offers to hang out with Carrie while their dates goof off. George and Erika are happy for Carrie and Tommy when they win prom king and gueen.
Erika and George are shocked when Carrie is covered in pig's blood and are displeased when Tina puts up a video of Carrie in the showers when she first gets her period. They share a discomforted look and George glares at the students laughing.
George and Erika are saddened when Tommy dies from a head injury from the bucket. When Carrie unleashes her powers on the students, George and Erika are trapped inside the gym as well as the other students.
Erika and several students pound on the doors while George helps several students get away from Carrie as well as helping a girl up and gives her to a boy who was walking by. George watches in horror as Tina is whipped, shocked by wires and then accidentally sets herself on fire. It is unknown if Erika saw this or if he had died in the carnage.
