Estelle (Stella) Horan is a character in Carrie. She is a former neighbor of Carrie and Margaret White. She was called the Whore of Babylon by Margaret.

She wears a bright print shifts and smoked amber sunglasses, her hair is described as black-streaked blonde.

She believed that whole family of Carrie was strange and was scared of them for been Real religious nuts. She feels that she possibly caused the incident of the stones.

Estelle was introduced by Jack Gaver in Carrie: the Black Dawn of TK as living in San Diego suburb of Parrish for twelve years.She drives a neat maroon Volkswagen Formula Vee with a smile decal on the gas cap with a green flag ecology sticker on back window. She married to an executive of a bank in the Parrish branch whom she had a son and daughter. Her children are certified members of Southern California Sun n' Fun Crowd.
She talked to Gaver about Carrie and her whole family when she receives news about what happened to Chamberlain, Maine, her past begins to haunt her and she later relates under stress. She describes Ralph White and how she found him spooky while she lived as a former neighbor of Carrie and Margaret White when was commuting to college. When Her mother and Margaret White got into a complain because she wore bathing suit in the back yard, Her mother push her to wear a white little bikini with the radio on to continue the back-fence war.
She and her mother witnessed the stones falling into the house of the Whites, when Margaret was mistreating Carrie because she had contact with Estelle.
Carrie (1976)[]
Estelle Horan was meant to appear in the 1976 film of Carrie, But the scene of The Rain Of Stones was cut off from the film.
Stella and her mother were excluded in the film. In the script, she is renamed Stella Horan and is described as an all-American sunbathing beauty of 18. Although she is excluded in the film, her scene was filmed.
It is unknown who portrayed her.
Carrie (2002)[]
Estelle Horan was the neighbour of the Whites.She had a good relation with Carrie the first time she met her, but hated her mother because of her attitude towards her. It was the same day, when she witnessed the asteroids falling into the house of the Whites after the mother of Carrie was punishing her, because she had talked to her.
It is implied that the asteroids fell because of Carrie in order to stop the mistreatment of her mother.
Carrie (2013)[]
Estelle Horan appears in the alternate opening, where she witnesses the stones falling on Carrie´s house after a confrontation with Carrie White´s mother. She also appears as an older woman testifying before the White Commission.
