Columbia Pictures is a American movie studio formed in 1924 and is now owned by Sony since 1988. They were behind Christine and Stand By Me and they still own them today through Sony. They also originally distributed Misery and The Shawshank Redemption before they were sold to MGM and Warner Bros respectively.
