When Roland and his ka-tet passed through Topeka, they stumbled upon Gage Park. Inside the park, there was a train that looked exactly like Charlie. Jake was the first one to see it and almost fainted. As they were walking away, Jake swore that he saw the train's lights flash at him.

In the novel Cell, the book's protagonists pass by a children's fair ride called "Charlie the Choo-Choo" while being lead through the planned site of Northern Counties Expo near Kashwakamak, Maine. The relationship between this ride and the character from the Dark Tower series is not expanded upon further.
