Boggs Diamond was the leader of "The Sisters", a gang of sadistic male rapists in Shawshank State Prison.
Biography
Boggs and "The Sisters" would severely beat and rape any inmate in Shawshank Prison that they felt they could handle, including Andy Dufresne. However, after Andy becomes valuable to the Warden, Boggs gets "mysteriously" beaten up by Captain Byron Hadley after his last vicious attempt on Andy, whereupon his jaw is broken and he is paralyzed. Boggs is transfered to a mental insecurity hospital upstate, and Red states that, to his knowledge, he "spent the rest of his days drinking his food through a straw".
