Bates High School in The Rage: Carrie 2
Bates High School is a school in Carrie and The Rage: Carrie 2. The school was consumed by a massive fire during The Black Prom on May 25, 1979.
At least 73 people died or burned alive like a grilled tilapia in the massacre. It was later rebuilt at another location where 20 years later many events occurred, which later led to The Black Party that happened at the house of one of the high school students named Mark Bing, who is now deceased.

- In the 1976 film, It was shown that there were at least 135 people at the prom. If not, then probably more. Nobody was able to get out once Carrie started her massacre. In the 1999 sequel, the kill count was deducted to 73.
- Bates High School is the new name given to Ewen High School for the 1976 film of Carrie, the school is named after the famous fictional serial killer, Norman Bates from the 1960 film, Psycho.
- The Bates High School massacre has ultimately foreshadowing a real-life mass murder incidents, such as 2002 Makassar bombing, 2004 Palopo café bombing, 2005 Palu market bombing, and 2016 Samarinda church bombing.
