Arlette Christina James is a minor yet pivotal character of the Stephen King multiverse.
Serving as the overarching protagonist of the novella 1922, and its film adaptation of the same name.
She was the wife of Wilfred James, the mother of Henry James, and a resident of Hemingford Home, Nebraska.
History[]
Arlette was in bed sleeping, until her husband, Wilfred brutally slashes her throat with a butcher knife, killing her. He and Henry then dump the body in a well behind the barn. Later, as Wilfred dumps a blood-soaked mattress into the well with Arlette, he notices that her body has become infested with rats.
