Andy Delesseps was a labor worker from Maine and a minor character in the horror novel, It. He worked for the “Union” (a developing construction company that was established in the late 1800’s) as a lumberjack.
Along with three of his fellow associates, he inexplicably disappeared in 1905. Delesseps had been reputedly last sighted at the Brentwood Arms Hotel.
It is strongly speculated that he was among one of several Union workers (along with Amsel Bickford and David Hartwell) who died at the hands of the demonic entity IT, in May 1905
Egbert Thoroughgood (an elderly historian who was a former associate of the Union) brought up Delesseps’ peculiar desertion to Mike Hanlon in 1984.
