Normally horror movies dont freak me out but there was one scene in this one where i was just like nope.

And it was the scene where Danny is laying in bed with his eyes and mouth wide open in fear silently screaming while it switches between that, the door with Redrum written on it, and Jack and Wendy talking. while the music is just like a scratchy violin noise

I dont know why this scared me so much, so i came to this wiki to see if this was the same case for other people?

This movie didnt really scare me except for that and the soundtrack of the movie made it all very eerie.

Up above here is Jack Torrance (The Shining) and Dan Torrance (Doctor Sleep specific).

So sorry that this and the next one are sideways, tried to fix it but ended up stopping. Eddie Kaspbrak from It.

And Stanley Uris from It also.

As you can see from this and the previous, one side is kid version of the character while the other side is adult version of the character.

With Halloween coming up, I gotta ask: what do you think Stanley Kubrick's 1980 classic The Shining actually mean? Everyone's got a different interpretation, and I wanna hear yours!

I'll go first: The Shining is a story about our true nature. Jack is naturally an alcoholic, an angry drunk, something he forgets until he comes to the hotel. We are told to embrace our true nature, but sometimes we see gifts (Danny's Shining) and see them as curses, trying to snuff them out. We embrace the wrong parts of our nature, and shun the right ones. Deep down we are all monsters, and we always have been.

And before you ask, no, I don't think the Overlook is haunted, I think it's all in Jack's head (and Wendy's, but that's likely Danny subconsciously freaking out and sending it to her as he runs through the maze).
