@XSarinaYoyoQueenx - Yeah, I just decided to stick to the movie versions as I figured they're the ones that most people are familiar with, since not everyone has read the book.
It's also why I also didn't include the versions of Miss Desjardin from the Carrie musicals, as I'm guessing not many people have seen those.
Having said that, I am familiar with the novel version of Miss Desjardin and I do agree that she was a "Bitch in Sheep's Clothing", to use your phrase.
While she didn't die in the book, I'm glad that at least she realized how bad she was and how much she failed Carrie - thus failing to prevent the events that escalated to the Black Prom - and chose to retire from teaching, to the point of admitting she'd rather "end" herself than teach again due to her guilt.
