The movies are better, but the miniseries is more faithful to the book. I've watched both, but that is just my opinion.

The new movies (2017 and 2019) did 0 hommage to the books. I was utterly disappointed when I've watched them. However the mini series is more bound to the book but still has its (minor) flaws.

In brief the best of these adaptations is and will always remain the book :p
