Bring this wiki back to life

Have decided to take up (re) reading some King again as I am trying to stay sane while starting my thesis. So it is a slow process but happening. Currently at Firestarter and I am reading King's book in order of publishing. This makes it very easy to add some more detail to the information flow that is already on this website. Who wants to help out?

Hi There

Hi Al. My name is Mike. I was trying to read the guidelines, but the link won’t work for me, so hearty apologies if I am doing something wrong. Maybe one of you can leave a link in the comments? Anyway, the reason I wanted to leave this message is because there are two Stephen king wiki’s on fandom. I would like to know which one is the most active. Thank you very much.

Randall Flagg, Dream catcher

There is a brief mention of a "General Randall" in Dreamcatcher. When Kurtz is in pursuit of Owen and Henry, a snow plow driver informs Kurtz that General Randall has called the operation off. The squad song is Sympathy for the devil. "I held a general's rank." So is this a nod to the walking dude?

Gerald's Game - the shelf.

In the novel Gerald's Game, when Jessie is attempting to get the glass of water close enough to drink, instead of tipping the shelf, why doesn't she just slide it along a few inches to she can grab the glass? There is nothing in the book that says she couldn't manage this, is there?

Can users please stop editing pages just because we ship 2 characters

I've noticed a lot of users have changed the character profiles of IT characters just because they ship those characters, like Eddie+Richie or Bill+Stan or Bill+Bev (the person who did this one also made it seem like Audra {Bill's wife} was Ben's wife) with the 2 former ships, I get people ship them and don't get me wrong i've got no hate toward LGBT people, but this is the official Stephen King wiki, we need to provide those, who want to know more about stuff he wrote, with facts not fanfiction. i'm am proposing that admins give spammers 2 warnings for changing info and a temporary block after the 3rd offence, whose with me

Do you think Eddie Kaspbrak was actually homo?

I was reading the book again and everything makes me think Eddie was gay (and maybe had a crush on Richie).

a good marriage - question of inspiration

A question from my son (no facebook!): Is the novella "a good marriage" inspired somehow by Agatha Christie's short story - "philomel cottage" ? (He asks because in the same book " Full Dark, No Stars." the story "1922" - according - The story evokes H. P. Lovecraft's 1924 short-story "The Rats in the Walls," particularly when Wilfred notes early on that "I know what is making the sounds I hear in the walls."

About Beverly...

Warning: Contains sexual content
Disclaimer: This is my opinion, and I am entitled to it. If anyone is offended by this, then I am sorry.

So, Beverly in both novel and film, is the abused one, right? Not just by her abusive father, but also by her (future husband as an adult) abusive husband. I am very surprised that none of the other members of the Losers Club is treated the same as Beverly. Hell, even her girl-bullies call her such things like 'hogsl*t', or 'f*ck you, b*tch!'. Amazing... This opinion centers around Beverly in IT 2017.

There was this scene where the Losers Club was tanning, with that radio playing. I'll explain it to you:

Bill, Ben, Mike, Stan, Eddie, and Richie were all staring at Beverly when they wore underpants. The boys were all silent, looking at Beverly. Now, unless this scene was attempting to promote pedophilia/teenage girl porn, I'll take this as understandable, because, well... boys are boys. <s>Good thing that they kept Beverly's breast bras...</s>

But another scene made me cringe; the scene where Beverly's father attempted to rape Beverly... WTF?! Srsly?! My god... Let me get this straight;

Alvin (Bev's dad) wanted to molest his own daughter for his gratitude. What, in any form, shape, or size, is Beverly's purpose in life other than being her father's personal 'lady', that being said? Oh, so is she a prostitute whose only purpose in life is to comfort her 'master'? That's like saying Alvin is raising Beverly for Bev---

Warning: Sexuality coming up

--- Beverly to be a HuCow. Imagine that. Jesus.

And, yes, what I want for Beverly is for her to lead a good life, in my opinion. Like I am constantly tired to see treated like sh*t by whoever she engages with (excluding Bill and Ben). She isn't some girl who gets to be sexually mishandled, but rather a free, brave, independent, and proud woman who deserves a loving husband and a great life!
